Shane Wallace has been given an alcohol tag after sending drunken messages to his ex.
The 34-year-old, who ended up in a coma after a street fight in December, has been given an alcohol tag after sending drunken Instagram messages to his ex-girlfriend.
Wallace was given a conditional discharge just a few weeks ago for his role in street fight which left him in a coma.
He walked out of Grimsby Crown Court on February 5 after admitting affray and possessing a knife in connection with the disturbance in Queensway.
He was seriously injured in a violent confrontation with another man, who is facing trial in connection with it.
Back in custody for other charges.
He was later in custody on other charges and has now appeared again before Grimsby magistrates.
He admitted sending abusive Instagram messages to his ex-girlfriend on February 21.
He also admitted assaulting his ex on September 2, damaging a gas meter box at her home on October 26 and sending her a threatening text message on October 14.
Kicked out at the woman.
On one of the occasions Wallace kicked out at the woman during an argument in Grimsby’s Top Town but missed her.
They had been in a relationship for about four years and together had two young children.
At her home, he later pushed her in the face with his open palm.
On another occasion, he sent abusive and argumentative text messages to her and, in one of them, said:
“I’m coming back tonight to smash all them windows. I’m having you.”
On the third occasion, he kicked the casing to a gas meter.
In breach of the conditional discharge
The latest offence put him in breach of the conditional discharge imposed at Grimsby Crown Court .
Wallace was arrested on Friday for the new matter and for breaching a bail condition. He was remanded in custody by magistrates on Saturday.
Wallace sent drunken text messages in frustration after a meeting with his ex-girlfriend did not go as planned.
