Two youths arrested after threatening man with knife.

 

Two youths were arrested on Friday for being in possession of a blade in public.

The police received reports of youths threatening a man with a knife in a Grimsby supermarket.

Police were called to Ellis Way Grimsby at approx 1.45 Friday, Police quickly arrested two boys aged 17 and 15 on suspicion of being in possession of a blade in public. Nobody was injured as a result of the incident.

Throughout the week Police have been supporting the national Operation Sceptre campaign which aims to reduce the amount of people carrying weapons and give people the opportunity to surrender them anonymously.

The most important thing you can do if see someone walking around carrying a knife is to let the Police know. By giving them the information they will have the authority to stop and search those suspected of carrying a weapon and prosecute them.
