Grimsby Intermediate Snooker League
2-0 wins by Sam Ward (62, 30, 80) with Chris Fuller, Paul Clark partnering Graham Young, and Alan Robertson with Mick Ponsonby gave GY Cars a 6-0 “home” win against Ray Edmonds D in the GY Cars sponsored Grimsby Intermediate Snooker League, securing their lead at the top of the league.
The Gas Man went into a three frame lead at Snug Fit Grimsby, thanks to Paul Jackson (51) and Matty Lawton (35, 25) winning 2-0 and Kev North (24) with Scott Long sharing 1-1 with Jamie McIllmurray and Richard Thornton, and with Anthony Jagger (25) partnered by Keith Atmore also winning 2-0 for the “visitors” they got a 5-1 win.
With each pair winning and losing a frame at Locate Supplies Cons when they played host to Webbonet, the match ended as a 3-3 draw, Mark Graves and Andy Aisthorpe sharing 1-1 with Craig Rowbotham and John Parrott, Ian Crosby and Steve Fisher with Bob Reeves and Alan Brown, then Jonno Webster (20) and Wayne Webber with Dave Webster and Steve Green.
Nick Mason and Mark Stevens opened the scoring for Clee Home Guard drawing 1-1 with Paul Simpson and John Lough, when they entertained Peter Hogarth & Sons, Mike Emerson and Pete Kuzemczak took the next putting the visitors in front only to share 1-1 with Craig Taylor and Martin Cave, and with Brian Hotson and Steve Ceclich taking the last two the visitors went away with a 4-2 win.
A 2-0 win by Ryan Knox and Dean Richardson (22) set the ball rolling for Clee Cons A, when they entertained Carr Lane A, Jimmy Yates and Al Goodhand made it three sharing 1-1 with Derek Crosby and Stuart Sadler, but with Mick Blowers and Joe Goodfellow taking the last two for the visitors the game ended as a 3-3 draw.
Could all teams with trophies won from last season please return them as ASAP.

A 2-0 win by Kev Ferguson and Pete Woods got the match underway for West End C in the B League in a home derby match against West End D, Paul and Connor Dixon (22) made it three for the coppers sharing 1-1 with Stuart Wilkinson and Paul Topham (25, 25) and with Terry Steel and Sandy Young sharing with Dave McMullan and Darren Roche the “home side” got a 4-2 win.
Another derby match took place at Westlands D when they hosted Westlands Heating who opened the scoring with a 2-0 win thanks to Chris Yull and Steve Neul (23), John Turner and John Ford replied for the “home side” winning 2-0 pulling the sides level but with Richard Stanard and Adam Board (21, 22) taking the last two the “visitors won 4-2.
John Taylor and Josh Garthwaite opened the scoring for Cromwell A with a 2-0 win when they played host to Ray Edmonds S, Steve Arnold and Stuart White pulled one back for the visitors sharing 1-1 with Brad Moforth (25) and Kris Hall, and with Pete O’Connor and Mick Forward taking the last two for the visitors the match ended as a 3-3 draw.
I hope I have the names right as the results sheet is hard to read in the match Carr Lane B versus Clee Cons C, Ben and Glen Leggett set the ball rolling for the home side sharing 1-1 with Rob Willerton and Tony Forster, Mick Vincent and Damon Gresham (25) took the next for the visitors only for Richard and Jon Smith to level with a 1-1 draw, but with Lee McFarlane ane Jon Leggett taking the last two the home side got a 4-2 win.
