Uk porn block to begin on July 15th.

UK porn block is going to begin on July 15th. British people who visit porn sites will have to use a passport, driving licence or credit card to prove their age. The legislation was passed in 2017 but it was subject to a number of delays because of technical difficulties. The porn block will force users to prove their age before being able to access porn websites.

Visitors to porn sites in the UK will be directed to a non-pornographic landing page. They will then be prompted to enter an email address and password, and using a passport, driving licence or credit card to verify their age.

The Government believes the system is a world-leading step towards protecting children because porn is to easy for children to access on the internet. They want the UK to be the safest place in the world to be online.

A poll by You Gov found that 76 percent of Britons had no idea a porn block was being introduced, and only a third think it will be effective. Two-thirds of the people polled backed the plans.

Do you think the porn block will be effective?
