Cleethorpes Library to host premiere of the play ‘Indomitable’

JOIN Lincs Inspire and Breakwater Theatre Company at Cleethorpes Library on Friday, 26th April from 7:00pm for the premiere of the play ‘Indomitable’, written by Cleethorpes based playwright Andy Evans and performed by Breakwater Theatre Company.

The play is inspired by the book ‘I Walk on Wheels’ by Elisabeth Sheppard-Jones. Elisabeth was a vibrant young woman who, at the outbreak of the Second World War became paralysed after the first ever V1 attack on the Guards’ Chapel at Wellington Barracks. Following this, Elisabeth fought for her independence and became a role model for disabled people everywhere.

Andy Evans, Co-Founder of Breakwater Theatre Company said: “Indomitable will hopefully take the story of this remarkable woman far and wide, celebrating everything she stood and fought for, whilst giving hope to others who suffer life changing injuries.”

The play has been commissioned by Lincs Inspire and funded by Arts Council England. Tickets cost £5 and are available from Cleethorpes Library. Doors will open at 7pm and the performance will begin at 7:30pm.
