Our sponsors team GY Cars take the title of the A League of GY Cars sponsored Grimsby Intermediate Snooker League, with an emphatic 5-1 win at home to The Gas Man, thanks to Paul Clark (48) and Danny Reynolds (48, 31) taking the opener with a 2-0 win, Mick Ponsonby (21) and Alan Robertson followed suit also winning 20, then Sam Ward (64) and Chis Fuller shared the last board 1-1 with Matty Lawton and Brad Burrell of their visitors The Gas Man, well done lads.

Alan Edmonds (21, 25, 22) and James Bristow opened the scoring for Ray Edmonds B at Clee Cons A with a 2-0 win, Tom Keeley and Ryan Knox (25) took the next for the home side sharing 1-1 with Paul and Steve Bristow, and with Tony Miller and Rick Gilliatt drawing 1-1 with Scott Gibbins and Dean Richardson (25) the “Bs” went away with a 4-2 win.

A 2-0 win by Peter Kuzemczak and Mike Emerson set the ball rolling for Peter Hogarth & Sons at Ray Edmonds D, Blake Munton and Darren Potter pulled the home side level with a 2-0 win, and with Steve Ellis with Liam Oswin sharing 1-1 with Ian Hogarth and Brian Ryley the match ended as a 3-3 draw.

Craig Sidney and Richard Thornton (32) got the match underway for Snug Fit Grimsby at home to Webbonet, sharing the first board 1-1 with Craig Rowbotham and John Parrott, Bob Reeves and Alan Brown (with a 22 clearance) put the visitors in front for the first time, only to share 1-1 with Jamie McIllmurray and James Phillipson, Steve Green and Dave Webster, put the IT crowd back ahead only for Rob and Pete Wraith to restore parity sharing 1-1 the match finished as a 3-3 draw.

2-0 wins by Keith Southwell with Rick Pacey then Nick Mason and Mark Stevens (30) helped Clee Home Guard to a 4-2 home win against Carr Lane A, who’s Joe Goodfellow and Stuart Sadler (21) took the last two.


Presentation evening is on Friday 7th June at McMenemys, tickets are available from Alan Edmonds or Dave Richardson at a cost of £22.


Westlands Heating take the title of the B League with an emphatic 6-0 win at West End C, Paul and Richard Claridge, then Steve Neul and Daz North followed by Keith and Adam Board all winning 2-0.

Ray Edmonds S finish second after going to Westlands D and beating them 5-1, Gary and Lee Dannatt setting the ball rolling with a 2-0 win Stu White and Steve Arnold made it three sharing 1-1 with George Clark and Jeff Webster, Pete O’Connor and Mick Forward taking the last two gave them the win.

Damon Gresham and Mick Vincent (22) got the match underway for Clee Cons C at West End D with a 2-0 win, Mike Hunter and Darren Roche (23, 32) pulled the home side level winning 20 and with the visitors being short of players they also got two freebees for a 4-2 win.
