New speed limits have come into force on the B1203

New speed limits have been introduced on the B1203 between Waltham and East Ravendale.

North East Lincolnshire Council made the decision to extend the 30mph speed limit from Waltham through Brigsley, and follow numerous complaints from local residents and Parish Council’s about speeding vehicles.

The speed limit changes to 50mph between Brigsley and East Ravendale before reducing to 30mph through East Ravendale.

The speed limit changes have been implemented to improve safety in this area following complaints from local residents and Parish Councils regarding speeding vehicles travelling through their villages.

Air quality in this area will also be improved as vehicles can maintain a constant speed throughout when travelling on this stretch of road.

The Avenue which runs past East Ravendale C of E Primary School has seen a speed limit reduction to 20mph to improve safety outside the school.

Now that all works are complete, the new limits can be enforced by Humberside Police.

The 50mph speed limit on the A18 remains in place.
