M&S in trouble over LGBT sandwich.

Marks & Spencer’s have launched lettuce, guacamole, bacon, and tomato snack to mark this year’s Pride Parade.

The sandwich is a special edition and boxed in rainbow packaging, it has guacamole added to the traditional BLT. The ingredients spell out the acronym LGBT.

As part of its campaign, the company will also donate more than £10,000 to charity

But despite only the very best of intentions, there has been a backlash from the LGBT community and shoppers. An artistic director Aaron Wright remarked He was so enraged he left the store. He said equating us to a sandwich, I can’t imagine them doing this to other marginalised groups.

Another person wrote whilst it is good a national company is raising awareness, I find this blatant exploitation of a marginalised community for a huge profit.

The Albert Kennedy Trust which supports homeless LGBT people praised Marks and Spencer’s and are thrilled to see M&S show support for the LGBTQ+ community. They are extremely grateful for the donation.
