Should Love Island be axed?

Following the permanent cancellation of the Jeremy Kyle Show over the tragic death of a guest. Some fans have said Love Island should be axed after two contestants sadly died.

Love Island is due to begin in less than three weeks. Two of the summer dating shows former contestants both took their own lives after the program. They both suffered from mental health problems before and after Love Island.

Sophie Gradon took her life last year and in 2018 Mike Thalassitis took his life. ITV said it would be stepping up its care procedures to ensure islanders felt safe and comfortable throughout filming and back in the UK. They will also offer therapy to every islander. and not just those who get in touch and ask for it.

They also say they will check in regularly on Islanders after the series finishes. and arrange social media training and financial management to their young stars.

According to a National Newspaper, Love Island will return in June.
