The exhibition will provide the opportunity for members of the public to view documents, photographs and artefacts relating to the Home Front during the Great War. The display will include items connected with many aspects of life on the Home Front, including the Grimsby Shell Factory, Tickler’s Jam and the role of Immingham Dock. Adrian Wilkinson, Archivist, Lincs Inspire said: “June 2019 marks the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, which officially brought the Great War to a close. To mark the centenary the public will have a chance to see many fascinating and unique items connected with story of the war on the Home Front.”
