Inaugural Volunteer and Members Awards

A special awards evening celebrated the extraordinary contribution of local volunteers to mental health services across North East Lincolnshire.

More than 80 NAViGO staff, volunteers and members gathered for the first of its kind celebration at McMenemy’s Function Suite.

Kelly Moore, NAViGO volunteer coordinator said: “Our volunteers and members make a difference in so many ways.

“This evening is about celebrating their achievements, while saying ‘thank you’ for the ways they help us to improve and provide services we would be happy for our own families to use.”

Recognising the achievements of dozens of amazing volunteers, winners included Charlotte Dale a dedicated employability placement volunteer, Trudy Germaney one of the founding members of the dementia carers coffee morning and Morgan Robinson who encourages others to participate in gardening activities.

Special recognition was given to Alison Ward whose journey began by accessing NAViGO services and now sees her supporting the groups she once attended, as well as furthering her education to receive well-deserved qualifications.

Multiple volunteer and member opportunities are offered throughout NAViGO from the provider’s outstanding older persons’ service to education and training.

It is hoped that the awards evening will become an annual event.
