Was MP Mark Field right or wrong to act the way he did?
Foreign Office Minister Mark Field has come under fire after video footage showed him physically removing a climate change protestor who interrupted a speech by Chancellor Phillip Hammond at Mansion House in London.
Mark Field has apologised unreservedly to the protestor. He has also referred himself to the cabinet office for investigation. Mr.Field has been suspended while investigations take place. He has said that he was genuinely worried that the protestor could have been armed. Guests had understandably felt threatened and he had instinctively reacted.
It has been revealed that the protestor a Greenpeace activist was part of an oil rig protest in Scotland only a few days earlier Green peace activists tried to stop a rig departing to drill for oil.
