Resurfacing works to take place in Cleethorpes under overnight closures

Works are progressing well on the £7.2m regeneration project in Cleethorpes, with the first full phase on High Street in the resort nearly complete.

From Monday 8 July, for three weeks, there will a series of overnight closures to allow for the resurfacing of the carriageway.

The road closures will happen on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights only from 7.30pm to 5am on the sections of road on High Street and also on the section of Alexandra Road from Grant Street to Sea Road.

This will run for three weeks until overnight Wednesday 24 / Thursday 25 July when the resurfacing will be complete, weather permitting.

During the day the section of carriageway will once again revert to the current traffic management arrangements. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times during the closures.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed to advise motorists of the closure and local diversions will also be in place.

North East Lincolnshire Council and its partner ENGIE would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during these improvement works.

The regeneration project was developed by CoastNEL, a local group with representation from a wide range of local businesses and the community, supported by the Council and ENGIE
