The Ford Fiesta is the most stolen car in Britain. Police forces around the UK have shared which models are likely to be targeted by car thieves.
The Fiesta was launched in 1976 and has sold more than 16 million worldwide. It came at the top of the list of the ten most stolen cars. It is one of the most common cars on the road, with sales in the UK of just under 375,000 new and used Fiestas in 2018.
The Ford Transit van was the second most targeted, VW Golfs came third, followed by Ford Focus, Mercedes Sprinter, Vauxhall Astra, Vauxhall Corsa, Audi A3, Ford Kuga, and BMW 3 series.
