Join 70-year-old Jim Hawkins on the final stage of his 9.9 million step walk.
Jim Hawkins from Grimsby is on his way home after setting out to walk 9.9 million steps around Britain. He has been raising money for Cancer Research UK and has been on his journey for 456 days.
He wants to end his journey back home surrounded by the people of North East Lincolnshire. He was walked 3,600 miles around the coasts in England and Wales.
He has documented his journey on YouTube. and has had more than 1,000 subscribers. He has set a target of £20,000 and has already raised thousands of pounds for The Brain Foundation Fund.
Mr. Hawkins has invited people to come along and join him on the final stage of his walk. On Sunday he will make a four-mile walk across Cleethorpes promenade finishing at the Yarborough Hotel.
He will be joined by people from all around the UK. But wants the people of North East Lincolnshire to come and join him on the last leg of his journey.
If you would like to support Jim he is meeting at the Parkway Cinema at 12 pm on Sunday, July 14th. If you prefer not to do the walk you can join at the Yarborough Hotel.
