Young people of Sidney Sussex inspired by Greta Thunberg

It’s great to see that the young people in the Lovett Street and Freeston Street of Sidney Sussex have been inspired by Greta Thunberg.

They have been learning all about her and Sweden’s approach to the environment at school. This has motivated them to get together and clean up and care for their environment. They have created posters and raised money for the Blue Cross to help animals.

This is something that all three Sidney Sussex Labour Councillors support in line with the climate emergency that the Labour Party declared earlier in the year. It’s excellent that these young people want to make such a positive impact on their community and the environment bringing hope and showing the order generations how to do it.

A big well done to Gabia, Kadey, Harvey, Ellie, Eliza, Jack, Richard, Emilia and Libby. Finally, a big thanks to Amy Parkinson for letting us know about this.
