It happened on Saint Peter’s Avenue just after 3am. The victim was allegedly knocked unconscious and suffered a bleed on the brain, a blood clot, and a fractured skull.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not said to be life threatening.

Humberside police are appealing for information in connection with this. The suspect they want to find has been described as a white man in his mid 20s with brown hair, around 5 feet 10 and skinny. He was wearing blue jeans and a white top with grey shoulders.

He could have been riding a bicycle.

Did you see anything? The police think there were a number of witnesses in the area at the time who they would like to speak with.
