Despite us living in the age of gender equality women still, do most of the housework.

Disputes about who does the most household chores have fuelled the battle of the sexes for decades.

A study of more than 8,500 British couples has found that women are far more likely to lose out. The study found that in 93% of British households women do more housework than men.

Even in homes where both partners work full-time women spend 20 hours a week more on housework than men. In households in which children have grown up and left home nearly half of the men do less than five hours of chores a week.

Even these days if something needs doing in the home a woman will just get on and do it.

Is this true in your household?
