Long term sponsorship deal agreed ahead of new season

Winterton Rangers are delighted to announce the agreement of a long term sponsorship deal with North Lincolnshire based housing developer, Hammond Homes Ltd.

Within the deal long standing home at West Street will now become ‘The Hammond Homes Stadium’ which searching through the record books is also a first for the football club to have a brand attached to the stadium name.

This new commercial deal is a real coup for the club and perfect timing ahead of the new season.

Winterton Rangers Director & CEO – Richard Smales comments
It is with great pleasure to announce this new sponsorship deal, I believe this is the biggest deal the club has ever achieved and over the next 5 seasons we are delighted to promote the Hammond Homes brand as official Stadium Naming Rights partners.

Having spoken to Nick Hammond, who is managing director of Hammond Homes Ltd, over the last few weeks it became evident he was keen to get more involved in our long term progression plans for the football club over the next 5 seasons and also become further involved with the business side of our development plans, with this I can also confirm Nick will be joining the football clubs board of directors as well as Co-Chairman.

I am really looking forward to working with Nick over the coming years and excited to see how everything develops both on and off the pitch, having the support network from local prominent business personnel such as Nick Hammond is a huge benefit to the football business development strategy for off the pitch improvements.

Over the coming weeks and no doubt at our home games in August all Rangers fans and visitors will see our latest announcement take shape as the Hammond Homes branding will be visible for all to see.

Hammond Homes Managing Director, Nick Hammond comments
As Hammond Homes are quickly becoming a recognised house builder in the North East Lincs area we are conscious of our social responsibility commitments and felt it essential that we put something back into the community and support local people and sports clubs. Richard Smales contacted us for support and I was impressed by the clubs facilities, ambitions and the potential for success. An initial sponsorship discussion quickly developed into a business collaboration as talks highlighted areas where the club would benefit more from a business involvement and the large contact base that we could introduce in terms of additional sponsorship from other local companies. I am confident our contact base can help guide the club into a financial position whereby top players can be attracted and good pay deals offered.

Winterton Rangers Manager, Scott Hellewell comments
After the announcement of the new sponsorship with Hammond Homes it’s with great pleasure that we welcome Nick to the club. It’s another sign that the club is going places off the pitch and now it’s important that we do our part as a management team on the pitch to match the aspirations of the football club. Nick clearly is a successful businessman and will be a very welcome addition to the board and I can’t wait to hopefully start a long and successful partnership with him. I’m sure he has some very good ideas for the club and if us as a management team can help in any way then we will.
