A doctor from Grimsby accused of administering a noxious substance to a woman will stand trial in February.

A doctor from Laceby Road Grimsby Hossam Metwally 58  has also been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm.

His partner Kelly Wilson 31 was found at their home in Laceby Road in a serious and unresponsive condition in July. The former nurse is believed to have suffered organ failure.

The doctor who was an anesthetist and chronic pain specialist at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust will stand trial in February.

A plea was not entered and he was granted conditional bail by a judge at Grimsby Crown Court with a £60,000 surety.
