A man was taken to hospital as Land Rover crashes through the front wall of bungalow.

The owner of the home is believed to have been sitting in the living room of the bungalow. Which is on Hampstead Court on the Scartho Estate. When the Landrover Freelander ploughed through the front wall last night.

It is believed that the bungalow has suffered major damage to it’s front and side walls and has been pushed by the impact.

Emergency services were in attendance and Humberside Police cordoned off the building.

The driver of the vehicle is understood to have fled the scene but was caught later by police.

It is believed that the homeowner had non-life threatening injuries and was being treated in hospital. It is understood that temporary accommodation has been found for the man and his wife.

It is believed that two fire appliances from Peaks Lane  Fire and rescue service attended and also a rescue support unit from Scunthorpe,  a team is also believed to have been sent from Skegness to fence off the area.
