 Man claimed he should not be jailed because his false leg had been stolen.

Ian Parrish 50 from Freeman Street had his false leg stolen the day before he appeared in court. He claimed that because of the lack of his leg he would struggle to move about in prison. But his pleas never stopped him from being jailed.

During a confrontation with police, he threatened to put a knife through the eyes of the first officer who came through the door. He also daubed white paint on the door of a pensioner neighbours door and swore at her she was left nervous and scared. Police also found a bag with 10 wraps of heroin.

After a standoff with police, a 10-inch serrated knife was found. He had convictions for 70 previous offences, including possessing knives in 2018 and 1998 as well as supplying heroin and cocaine, his most recent prison sentence is believed to have been 10 years ago.

It is thought that his leg was amputated because of a bone infection when a metal plate became infected, he denied that the amputation was drug-related. He admitted possessing a knife, damaging a door and possessing heroin he was jailed at Grimsby Crown Court for 1 year.
