Could you help the homeless by donating food, clothes, and equipment?

The nights may be relatively warm at the moment but cold winter nights are not far away. At the moment there are between 40 and 50 people sleeping rough on the streets of North East Lincolnshire who need your help.

The charity Harbour Place the who work with the homeless and socially excluded people is appealing for essential food, clothes, and equipment to help prepare homeless people for the winter. JW Emberson Funeral Directors of Macauly Street and Steven Near Funeral Directors of Wellowgatw have teamed up with the charity to launch the appeal for much-needed items. Harbour Place provides shelter support, food and washing facilities to some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our area. They were launched in 1996.

The following items can be donated for the appeal:- Non food items, Sleeping bags, rucksacks, and torches, Men’s clothes, underwear, socks, small men’s jeans, tracksuit bottoms, trainers, gloves, hats, and scarves. Food items Coffee, sugar, long-life milk, tomato sauce and biscuits. Tinned food meat, fruit, vegatables, baked beans, and soup.

Items can also be taken to Harbour Place, The Hope Centre, Hope Street, Grimsby. phone 01472 355234 0r 01472 353905.
