Stagecoach Improvemnets to 450 and 5M

Stagecoach bus service 450 and 5M set for route improvements

North East Lincolnshire Council, working in partnership with ENGIE, North Lincolnshire Council and Stagecoach East Midlands is amending the bus service 450 and 5M route in North East Lincolnshire.

The 450 service currently runs from Barton to Immingham via Manby Road. The new route will no longer serve Manby Road and instead go via Killingholme Road, Habrough Road, Pelham Road and provide a better connection with the 5 bus service in Immingham.

As part of the new changes, the 5M service will now extend to serve Manby Road up to the A160 roundabout where it will turn and return to Immingham.

Councillor Stewart Swinburn, portfolio holder for highways and transport, said: “The amended routes are great news for public transport users in North and North East Lincolnshire.
We’re glad to have been able to work with North Lincolnshire Council and our partners to deliver these amendments to the routes which will better serve the residents of Immingham and improve connection times between the two services.”

Matt Cranwell, managing director for Stagecoach East Midlands, said: “We are pleased to support North East Lincolnshire Council and North Lincolnshire Council with these improvements to tendered bus services, which should make journeys more convenient for local people.”

The revised routes and timetables will be available at www.stagecoachbus.com and all bus stop timetables along the routes will be updated.

The change to Service 450 and the 5M will come into force from Monday 2 September.
