Update: A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a rape in Cleethorpes.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a rape that that was reported to Humberside Police on Thursday 22nd August. They were called just after midnight to reports that a woman was in a distressed state on the beach near to Central Promenade.
Police Officers were soon on the scene to support her, and their investigations have led to the arrest of the man. Police continue to appeal for any witnesses who were in the area at the time, who have not already spoken to the police to come forward.
