Hundreds of young people have dedicated their summer holidays to completing projects to benefit their community as part of our Lifestyle project.
From cleaning up local play areas and beaches, to collecting donations for those in need, to hosting charity bike rides, bake sales and dance shows – our lifestylers have been incredibly busy.
Community Safety Sergeant Nick Bunker said: “Every year I am amazed by the range of different projects that the young people come up with and this year is no different, I have loved seeing their updates on social media and in the press.
“There have been some great projects this year and I can already see the difference that they have made in our local communities. I am really excited to read about all their busy summers in their log books.”
Today is the last day to complete work on your projects! Don’t worry though, you still have an extra few weeks to finish off your booklets and get them sent in to us for judging. All booklets must have been received by the Youth Engagement team by 30th September 2019.
Malcolm Bennie, General Manager at Arco said: “Sponsorship of the awards over the last sixteen years has taught us to set our expectations very high. I anticipated a diverse range of imaginative projects and the young people involved this year are really exceeding expectations. Some of the projects that have been run over the summer really demonstrate positivity and teamwork and it’s great to see the benefits that are already being delivered to the community.”
