Good luck today to Haverstoe Heroes in finally and hopefully getting approval to take over Haverstoe Pavillion.  The council plan to give the neglected Pavillion over to a non-profit company. The company WANO-WANO are a Community interest group which stands for waste not want not and are also known as Haverstoe Heroes. They are to be granted the lease on the condition it makes a full repair to the building, the council say it has already secured a number of grants. The council plan to give the company a peppercorn rate of just £1 a year.

They are planning to open the public toilets, including baby changing facilities, also reintroduce sports changing rooms. They also have plans to make the park a breastfeeding and disability safe place with a new community hub and cafe. They plan to create a community hub for all of the community and hope to reduce social exclusion and curb anti-social behavior in the area. WANO-WANO is a not for profit company who are applying for a Community Asset Transfer of the Haverstoe Park Pavillion in Cleethorpes. They are running solely with volunteers who believe in the project and their community.

North East Lins Council will meet at 5 pm  today at Grimsby Town Hall to make a decision.
