Grimsby professional dancer Kevin Clifton has been partnered with Anneka Rice in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing
Tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing launch show opened with Kylie Minogue performing a medley of her greatest hits.
The audience then enjoyed show dances, the introduction of new judge Motsi Mabuse, and the introduction of most of the celebrities before they knew who ‘Kevin from Grimsby’ would be paired with.
Anneka Rice, an award-winning broadcaster, shot to fame in this country as the Sky-Runner in Channel 4’s Treasure Hunt, still Channel 4’s highest rated programme ever. She says she hasn’t danced since she was 7 years old.
Kevin was the final male professional to learn who his partner would be. Despite waiting so long, both he and Anneka looked delighted when the pairing was announced.
Immediately after the announcement, as reigning champions, Kevin danced the Pasa Doble with Stacey Dooley, his partner in the 2018 series.
