Oh no! brace yourselves weathermen forecast the coldest winter in 30 years.
Weather forecasters are warning that the Beast from the East will return this winter and temperatures could be below -14c. They are expecting that a freezing jet stream could sweep across the UK in January and settle in across the country for weeks.
They made the predictions in one of the first long-range forecasts ever attempted. Forecasters have studied the jet stream which blows from east to west just above the North Atlantic and brings icy temperatures and snow when it lands.
But there is some good news forecasters have said it could be one of the hottest autumns in a century. In a weeks time, Indian Summer settled weather is forecast lasting a week with temperatures up to 26c.
