Free shuttle bus to the races

Bookmakers William Hill are offering a free shuttle bus to days 3 and 4 of the William Hill St Leger Festival.

Buses to Doncaster Racecourse depart from the Market Car Park on Friday and Saturday.  Tickets can be collected from William Hill’s shop at 8 Market Place.

First buses are, of course, running their usual paid for racecourse shuttle service each day of the Festival.  This will run approximately every 5 five minutes from Doncaster Frenchgate Interchange direct to the racecourse, on Leger Way.  The shuttle usually starts around 60 minutes before the gates open.  Return journeys from the racecourse start about 30 minutes before the end of last race.  A return ticket for this special service is just £2.50, or a single ticket is £1.50.  Shuttle bus information is subject to change and may be amended or withdrawn without prior notice.

Services 55, 57 and 91 also pass the racecourse, stopping around 100 metres away from the Racecourse at the St Leger Hotel.

Mary Vickers moved to North East Lincolnshire in 2010, from the Wiltshire/Hampshire border, to become Urban and Industrial Chaplain NELincs. Made redundant in 2017, she's maintained many of her connections within the business, faith, and other local communities. She's also decided to stay here rather than return to either the south or her husband's native Yorkshire, so that she can continue to enjoy and help promote the positives of NELincs.
