A Driver knocked girl unconscious in an incident in Immingham.

A driver knocked a 15-year-old girl unconscious on Friday night as she was walking home from a youth club in Immingham. Humberside Police was called to the incident on Worsley Road in Immingham on Friday night.

The girl was allegedly walking home with a group of girls when they got into a confrontation with the driver who jumped out of his vehicle and attacked her.  It is believed the man approached the girl before punching her in the stomach and knocking her to the ground and as she fell she banged her head on the ground which knocked her unconscious.

According to the girls the car was circling the area and speeding and nearly knocked one of the girls of her bike. So the 15-year-old girl shouted at him telling him to wise up with his driving. The other girls were younger and were understandably terrified. The assault happened shortly after 9 pm on Friday 20th September in a car park near to Worsley Road Immingham.

Humberside Police arrested an 18 year old man on suspicion of common assault in connection with the incident. He has been released under investigation whilst inquiries continue.
