Marc Rhodes has joined Visit Lincoln as Business Development and Partnership Manager. His new remit is to develop new commercial partnerships and grow the organisation’s partnership portfolio.
Marc is obviously exciting by his new role:
I’m so excited to be able to announce that I’ve joined the team at Visit Lincoln! Anyone who knows me will know how much I love our city and I can’t wait to work with all of our partners to deliver lots of exciting projects for Lincoln and Lincolnshire!
Visit Lincoln is the city’s official Destination Management Organisation. Its aim is to raise awareness of Lincoln as a great place to visit, study, meet and invest. Their work isn’t limited to just the city instead it interlinks with the surrounding countryside.
As a partnership organisation, Visit Lincoln works with around 150 private businesses, because it believes that collaboration is at the heart of being a Visit Lincoln Partner. It is a not for profit organisation, and registered as a Community Interest Company. This means that every penny they receive goes back into attracting visitors and investment to Lincoln.
Marc Rhodes will continue the work done by his predecessor Clare Williams. He says that he is looking forward to joining the team at an exciting time for the city:
I’m thrilled to be part of Visit Lincoln and want to use my experience in marketing and business development to benefit the city where I grew up and have spent the majority of my career to date.
In previous roles I have been a corporate partner of Visit Lincoln, so I’m fully aware of the great value the team brings to businesses, and I am excited to play a role in an exciting period of growth for the city.
Charlotte Goy, PR & Marketing Director for Visit Lincoln said:
We’re delighted to have Marc on board and look forward to introducing him to our partners. He’s a strong advocate for Visit Lincoln and has worked with us on previous campaigns that have promoted Lincoln as a great place to live, work and visit.
It’s a busy and exciting time for our partners with the introduction of the enhanced rail service through LNER and a new 2020 tourism campaign in the pipeline. Marc will be leading on our partnership activity, partnership marketing and upcoming partner events to ensure everything is joined up – because we are at our strongest when we work together.”
