Forrester Boyd delighted to appoint new partner

Regional accountancy practice Forrester Boyd are delighted to announce the appointment of Carrie Jensen as partner to be based at the firm’s Grimsby branch.

The move takes the total number of partners at the firm to 10 as the practice continues to expand in the Lincolnshire and the Humber region.

Grimsby born and bred, Carrie joined the firm as a trainee accountant in August 2009. “I didn’t want to move away to university so the idea of earning whilst I learnt was far more appealing” said Carrie. She qualified as a chartered accountant in 2015, was made assistant manager 2 years later, promoted to manager in October 2018 and 12 months later invited to join the partnership. During her studies, she started to specialise in the Charity and Education sectors and now spearheads these sectors.

Carrie, a nationally recognised Academy expert, leads the Education and Charities sectors sitting on the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) auditors’ forum. Carrie also sits on the committee of the UK200 group’s Charity focus group, a leading association of independent chartered accountants and law firms. She has also recently taken over as the Treasurer of the Enrolled Freemen.

In addition to her work in the Charity and Academy sector, Carrie also has a portfolio of owner managed businesses and company audit clients.

Carrie said of her appointment; “Forrester Boyd have always encouraged me to aim high and made me believe there is no ceiling to my ambition. This has driven me in my studies and progression and I am very excited to be joining the partnership and continuing to help develop our business and expand our client base further.”

Away from the office, Carrie enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends.

Practice Chairman, David Everatt, welcomed Carrie to the partner team and said: “When you challenge and reward talented employees in this way, you are investing in the future of your business and as one of the UK’s Top 50 accountancy firms we need to ensure we are always looking to the future”.
