Suspected car thief attacked with a scaffolding pole.
It is believed that a blue Honda had been stolen from an address in Weelsby Street yesterday. It was seen being driven around the Nunsthorpe and Grange estate in the morning. Humberside Police was called to a cut-through between Scampton Close and Waddington Place after reports of a stolen car in the area just after 12pm yesterday. When they arrived they found a man suffering from head injuries after being attacked with a weapon believed to be a scaffolding pole.
Police arrested the injured man on suspicion of motor theft and he was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries which at this time are not believed to be serious. Police also arrested two men on suspicion of actual bodily harm.
