Brr! This winter is predicted to be the coldest in 30 years.

Long-range weather forecasters have predicted that Britain could have one of the coldest winters in 30 years with snow after snow. Snow is likely to hit Scotland in as little as 10 days. October is predicted to be colder than average and wintery weather could set in during the second half of the month.

There is every chance of widespread frosts and snowfall which will set the scene for November. All this will shape up to a colder than average winter with some extremely cold weather events. Which will be very troublesome from December onwards.

This winter could be as bad as the freezing winter of 1963 which was said to be the coldest for 200 years.
