Watching films could give us wrinkles.

A study of 2,000 people has warned that watching films could accelerate the signs of ageing.

It is believed by experts that the faces that we tend to pull while watching thrillers or horrors could be causing wrinkles on our faces. Also laughing during comedies. The study found that viewers contorted their faces 20 times in fear when watching a horror film. In a thriller, viewers pulled a shocked, tense or surprised face 50 times.

Viewers laughed or smiled 115 times when watching a comedy film.

The beauty brand Foreo led the study and said shocked expressions and squinting could result in crows feet and frown lines. If it was repeated over five years it could result in 50 percent worse lines.

Laughing made crows feet and folds near the mouth worst by 40 percent. Perhaps we should just keep a straight face at all times.
