Kingsgate Mews address raided: Drugs and weapons seized

Drugs and weapons seized as officers carry out warrant at Grimsby address

Officers from Grimsby have carried out a drugs warrant at an address on Kingsgate Mews today as part of our continued commitment to tackling drug related crime.

Officers found a quantity of weapons, drugs paraphernalia, cash, suspected class A drugs, with an estimated street value of in excess of £5,000, and class B drugs at the address.

Three people, two men and one woman, were arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Inspector Paul Bennett said, “The impact that drugs and drug related crime can have on a community cannot be underestimated and is something we take incredibly seriously.

“The drugs that we have seized today will now never see the streets, helping to disrupt the supply in Grimsby and further afield.

“Today’s warrant came as a result of information given to us by the local community , I want to thank people for coming forward and sharing their information with us.

“We will continue carrying out warrants, seizing drugs and making arrests wherever we have information about people being involved in drugs to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour.

“If you have any information about drugs or crime in your area you can get in touch by calling our non-emergency 101 number or anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
