Suspected Arson Attack In Belton
Police are treating a fire that occurred in a North East Lincolnshire
flat as an arson attack.
Humberside Police cordoned off a property in Belton after a fire started
the early hours of October 18.
The incident happened in a property on Ash Tree Close in Belton,
three fire crews were sent out to extinguish the blaze.
The crews were from Epworth, Crowle and Scunthorpe fire stations.
A cordon was put in place that morning as crime officers and
fire officers continue their investigation.
Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses
to come forward if they have any information on the fire.
It is known that no one was injured in the fire however
investigators are concerned that this was a deliberate ignition.
The property has also been targeted in previous months,
their window being smashed on more than one occasion.
Anyone with information which could assist police
in the investigation is asked to call 101, quoting log 31 of 18/10/19.
