So is learning about World War 2 harming our children?
An Instagram influencer Freddie Bentley 22 has said he thinks that the school curriculum for learning about World War 2 should be cut back because it is so intense. He said that learning about World War 2 harms millennial’s mental health.
He believes that any mental health issues youngsters may have could be made worse by learning about the war. His thoughts are that instead of learning about the horrors of war, schools should teach pupils about Brexit and how to get a mortgage.
At the moment Key stage, 3 pupils learn about the war and cover the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, also the Battle of Dunkirk and Winston Churchill’s leadership.
On the Apprentice last week several of the contestants did not know the date when World War 2 started.
So did learning about World War 2 ever do any harm to those of us who learned about it at school?
