Canteen Assistants

• £11 per hour Employment until 31st December 2021

The company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton.

The 1000 seater restaurant opened in September and the Company is currently seeking to recruit a number of Canteen Assistants.

The role is considered permanent in that the role is for 2.5 years i.e. Until the end of 2021.

Key Features of the Role:

• The role is varied and will include the following: serving meals, clearing and cleaning

tables, re-stocking vending machines, cleaning the floors and generally keeping the

restaurant in a high state of cleanliness

• Be a site ‘ambassador’ for the company when relating to client, staff and customers
• Be aware that Company Personal and Food Hygiene Policy and procedures are applied continuously and that there are no breaches of Statutory or Local Authority regulations.
• 39 hour working week, Monday to Friday, £11 per hour

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Be an accomplished Canteen Assistant and able to engage with other staff and customers.
• Use of tills and be prepared to assist in the service of dishes and set up of the Canteen.
• Must be able to attain a satisfactory DBS disclosure and Drug and Alcohol testing will be required
• Successful completion of relevant Safety Training will be required
• The working day is expected to start between 6am and 7am (Monday to Friday) therefore must be able to get to the work site in Fawley.
• Own Transport is essential.
