Despicable act.

Immingham civic and church leaders have been left disgusted when they found 24 war graves desecrated on the eve of Remembrance Sunday. Parish Priest Reverend Julie Donn is believed to have been reduced to tears when she discovered the damage.

The Royal British Legion in Immingham had placed wooden crosses and poppies on each of the graves that were dedicated to those who were killed in the First and Second World Wars. But mindless vandals had ripped them all out and damaged them.

15 of the 24 were found but some were damaged and the poppies had been pulled off the crosses.

Humberside Police are investigating the damage and anyone with any information to call the non-emergency number 101 quoting log number 449 of November 9th.
