Appeal for witnesses after three people die in road traffic collision

Three people have died in a road traffic collision in North Lincolnshire that happened on the A1077 between South Ferriby and Barton interchange on Sunday 17 November.

Emergency services were called around 11am to the incident that involved a black Toyota Celica and a white Peugeot 3008.

Three men who were in the Toyota sadly died. Officers are currently trying to trace the men’s next of kin.

A woman and a man who were in the Peugeot both sustained serious injuries and are still receiving treatment in hospital. Their families have been informed.

Sergeant Rob Mazingham from Humberside Police’s serious collision unit said: “This was a very serious collision which has very sadly resulted in the deaths of three men, and left a woman and another man in a serious condition.

“I now have officers working hard to find the families of the three men. I am also appealing to anyone who might have seen anything around the time of the collision, or the vehicles beforehand, to contact us.

“We will provide further details regarding this incident when we can.”
