Schoolgirl injured as woman attempts to steal her handbag.

The attempted robbery of a 15-year-old girls handbag happened yesterday at approx 9.30am. It happened on the footpath off Scartho Road which links it with Weelsby Ave.

The girl was approached by a woman who spoke to the girl before allegedly trying to take her handbag. In the struggle to get away with her handbag the girl is thought to have recieved minor injuries to her hand.

The woman is described as in her 30s around 5ft 4in tall. Medium build with short dark brown hair and glasses. She was wearing a red hat and cream coloured trousers.
