Motorist at the end of his tether after numerous reports of anti-social behaviour.

Reports of anti-social behaviour across Grimsby and Cleethorpes have been numerous in recent weeks. One man said they pelted his car with eggs and he was at his Wit’s end and is fed up with the youths of this town who think it is ok to go round egging people’s cars.

There have been reports of children causing criminal damage and smoking illegal substances. Also, a group of teenagers approx 13-15 years old have been riding on pedal bikes and causing mindless criminal damage.

It is thought that they have been throwing eggs and yogurt pots at people’s car windscreens and at homes. Anti-social behaviour is any aggressive, or intimidating or destructive act that impacts another person’s quality of life.

You should report incidents to either Humberside Police Or North East Lincolnshire Council depending on the nature of the behaviour.

The following should be reported to Humberside Police by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency.

Threats to kill and violence

Graffiti and vandalism to personal property.

Hate Crime- If a person is abused verbally or physically, because of their ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender, disability, or just because they are different then this is a hate crime.

Harassement- Repeated attempts to make unwanted contact with a person and those associated with them, which causes a person distress or fear.

The following issues should be dealt with by North East Lincolnshire Council.

If groups are congregating in public spaces and drinking alcohol.

Verbal abuse and threats of violence-unless you believe you are at immediate risk.

Young people gathering in large numbers and behaving in a way that is threatening to others.

Noise nuisance such as loud music noisy pubs, rowdy parties or barking dogs in your neighbourhood.

Graffiti and vandalism to public property.

Littering or fly-tipping- the illegal dumping of waste.
