Appeal for witnesses following incident

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of road rage in Great Western Way, Swindon, this morning (25/11).

At approximately 7.30am, a white Seat vehicle was in a queue of traffic approaching the roundabout at the Transfer Bridges, just prior to the left turn into Gorse Hill.

Another vehicle, described as a faded red hatchback, cut in front of the driver and slammed on his brakes.

The male driver of the red hatchback exited his vehicle and shouted abuse at the driver of the Seat – a woman in her 20s who was alone at the time.

He tried to get into her vehicle but the doors were locked. He then repeatedly punched and kicked the vehicle, spat at the windscreen and knocked the driver’s wing mirror off.

He is described as white, aged in his late teens to early 20s, approximately 6 ft tall and of slim build with short blonde hair. He had blue eyes and a pale complexion and was wearing a black puffa jacket with the hood up.

Wiltshire Police would like to hear from any witnesses to the incident – in particular, anyone who may have a dash-cam fitted to their vehicle which may have captured the incident.

If you can help, call 101 and quote crime reference number 54190116886.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
