Lincoln’s homelessness problem is on the rise

With reports coming in that a small group of homeless people have pitched a tent in a churchyard in the city centre, we ask is there enough being done to help the homeless in our city?

The new YMCA centre opened in recent weeks has around 20 rooms and also some additional hostel rooms which has been a lifeline for those it can house. However, the doorways and shelters of Lincoln are still home to those who can not find a place to live.

What do you think could be done by the Council, or even local businesses to help tackle the rising homeless rates? Have you seen the tent around the Bank Street area?

Send us your comments below on what you would like to see done?
