Don’t get carried away with Black Friday as it is all hype with very few real discounts.

Which consumer magazine found that just four of 83 products that they studied last year were cheaper during Black Friday promotions.
Some of the products that were cheaper when it was not Black Friday were a tumble dryer, a smart speaker, a coffee maker, and a TV soundbar.
Which advises shoppers to do their research and never impulse buy. When the consumer group tracked some products last year on Black Friday. They found items from retailers including PC World, Amazon, and John Lewis and monitored the prices six months before the date and six months after.
Only four products were cheaper on Black Friday than at other times of the year. And six in 10 items were cheaper or the same price. On at least one day in the six months before Black Friday.
A lot of hype.
When they looked at the two week period that surrounds Black Friday. Which included sale prices the week before and after it found that three-quarters of products were cheaper or the same price in the six months after.
Which did not find any evidence that any retailers were breaking the law. It said it had shown that so called deals may not be all they are claimed to be.
