Teacher alerted police after woman acted ‘suspiciously’ at school

Humberside Police want to identify this woman after we received a report about her acting suspiciously on Eden Road in Beverley.

It was reported that she had approached a teacher at a school around 3pm on Wednesday 9 October saying she was the grandparent of a pupil.

The teacher didn’t recognise her and went to get more information. On the teacher’s return, the woman had left.

Police want to question her so she can explain her behaviour.

Detective Chief Inspector Allison Sweeting said: “We want to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident, and speak with the woman in the Efit.

“I’m sure there is a good explanation for her behaviour and we’d like her to contact us. I want to thank the teacher for making us aware of her concerns.”

The woman has been described as in her 60s, dark skin, brown eyes, and had her hair up in a ponytail.
