In a time when the Government is under more scrutiny to reduce spending and make further cuts, it is rumoured that the world-renowned show-stopping Red Arrows could be axed as part of defence budget cuts.
It estimated that the aerial display team cost anywhere around ten million to run, train and show each year.
The Red Arrows are an icon of Lincolnshire and have put RAF Scampton on the map as one of the most prestigious aerial acrobatic display teams. They have flown around 5,000 displays in nearly 60 countries.
Do you think the Red Arrows annual spend should be reviewed? What do you think the Government should look to spend any savings on? Or are there any other departments you would like to see come under budget review before the ‘Arrows’ face a potential cull……….
