A Grimsby mother featured on a BBC election special last night which focused on how those living in poverty were planning to vote.
Shockingly, mum-of-one Rachel showed the cameras how she had only 14 pence to her name, and would have to manage on what was in her cupboards for another two weeks.
Homeless, and living in temporary accommodation, she told of her plight to keep her son safe and warm – adding that if this meant she had to go without food then this is a sacrifice she would make. Other Grimsby residents also, living in poverty painted a similar picture, and raised the same questions – which party will help get people back on their feet?
The responses were all mixed – with some choosing the conservatives, some Labour, and some left with no clear idea of which way to cast their vote.
With the general election just one week away, it seems voters in Grimsby are still undecided and all is still to play for. The question is, which MP will be fighting for votes, and who will deliver on their promises?
